'Sur le pont d'Avignon' - an earworm that accompanied Maria for days. And eventually Nicole too. We arrive in Avignon at Camping du Pont d'Avignon. A campsite right by the river opposite the old town, which is behind a city wall. The place is park-like and full of birch trees. Birch trees that produce so much pollen that we quickly feel like it's snowing here. We're glad none of us are allergic. After 2 days, there is so much pollen that you might think it's snow. In total, we stay here for 3 nights and take a leisurely stroll around the small cute old town and enjoy the sunsets by the river. After that, we head to Salavas to meet Janina, Striz, Mike, Bela, and Theo.
