Day 16-Roermond

Today is a day off from water travel and we have planned to clean up thoroughly, but we postponed it to Friday. We wanted to visit Roermond, and I had to do another rapid test for entry into Germany, that was the plan. In fact, we adjusted the plan. We wasted the morning and slept late, and then around noon, we rode our bikes (heavy, no gears, stable) 3 km to Herten to a snack bar. Today, we finally wanted to have Fricandel special and Pommen with Pindasauce, along with a cold cola, a wonderfully healthy breakfast full of vitamins. The day before, Rosa and Oskar had contacted us and informed us that they would be arriving in Roermand today. We invited them for dinner and, considering the flop from the previous day and the deadline of 8:00 p.m., decided to cook ourselves. Michael went back to the boat (cleaning?) and I went to Roermond by bike to test and do some shopping. I had decided on chicken-shrimp-Thai Curry, all prepared with 2 pots, no wok but with the right ingredients. After an hour of chopping, everything was ready and our guests arrived around 6:00 p.m. We had a drink, then cooked and enjoyed the Thai Curry, and used up the leftover white wine. It was a nice evening that didn't end until around half past one, then we went straight to bed, cleaning up was planned for Friday anyway.
