Bucharest 🎡

Bucharest, a city with a lot of good coffee.

The coffee here is much cheaper than at home, it is also prepared differently, and in every small café you can get a nice pattern in the milk foam (I am impressed by such things, Kevin not so much 'as long as it tastes good.').

In the nice BEAT bar there was cheap beer, dogs, and hippies playing the guitar.

A big difference from Vienna are the public transport controls. Shortly after Kevin realized that fare evasion 'definitely pays off', because it only costs 10€ converted, the first control came (we had a ticket). Five minutes later, on the same bus, the next one. In the end, we were checked at least once on every ride, always as obvious tourists.

Our highlight was the 'Oraselul Copiilor', a park with sports facilities such as calisthenics, football fields, and a Vienna Prater feeling. From 12 o'clock (heavily distorted) music came out of the speakers, and another hippie danced extremely exuberantly.

The city is strongly influenced by the 1989 revolution, there is almost something related to it on every corner.

Finally, it can be said that with basic knowledge of Spanish, you can also read Romanian at least a little bit.

Now we're off on the 10-hour train ride to Sofia.

See you soon.
