Bunaken Island - Sulawesi - Indonesia

Okay, now finally just let time stand still, that's my plan for the next 4 days. My pre-booked guest house was in the middle of the forest and was deserted by all souls, meaning there was no one there. That's why I first looked for a sleeping place on the mangrove beach. In a great wooden bungalow. Unfortunately, this was a bit too expensive for me. That's why I changed again on the next day.

Here you could snorkel for hours and admire the really beautiful and very active reef. That's why I booked a few dives for the next day.

Early after breakfast, I walked the 600m to the "Cakalang Resort" where we packed the diving equipment together and went directly to the boat, went out for 2 really nice dives, each lasting about 1 hour. Then I relaxed a bit in the guesthouse and in the afternoon we went out for another dive. The biggest highlights for me were the many turtles that swam by at a close distance, really amazing.

On the third day, I indulged in doing nothing again. Sleeping, reading a book, listening to music and simply enjoying life. Fantastic!

On the 4th day, I wanted to go back to Sulawesi with a few other people. The problem was that today the "Public Boat" does not sail due to high waves. We decided to charter a speedboat, which quickly brought us back to Sulawesi.

So, if you are in the area, you should definitely visit the Bunaken Islands. And ideally go for a few dives. And also just chill........
