Sleeping under 1000 stars

We spent the last two nights under the open sky in the Namib Desert, snuggled up in sleeping bags and warm blankets, in a dark-sky preserve. There is no hotel with more stars in the whole world. However, the stars disappeared around 10:30 when the moon rose and illuminated the night. So it was time for us to sleep as well. In the morning, we were woken up with hot coffee and tea right at sunrise. We watched the color show from the warmth of our sleeping bags before heading to breakfast.
