Perth, all beginnings are hard..
Arriving at the airport, the search for our first accommodation began, unfortunately it seemed a little harder than we thought. We didn't realize that until Monday it was 'Anzac Day', a public holiday here in Australia. Most hostels were unfortunately fully booked :-/. In the end, we ended up at YHA (Youth Hostel Australia) and spent our first two nights in a 4-bed room which cost us a whopping $40 per night per person :-0. At least our roommate was really nice, he was from Berlin, so we already met the first German.
The funny thing was also that free Wi-Fi was available everywhere in the city center but had to be paid for in our hostel. Now you know why we didn't contact you earlier. The first few days we spent looking for a cheaper hostel, which fortunately we managed to find. Our current hostel is called City & Surf Backpacker and has free Wi-Fi :-). Since we looked at different cars to buy, we always planned for the next two nights and had to move from a 3-bed room to an 8-bed room and now back to a 3-bed room within this hostel :-D. The next steps were to find a car, open a bank account and explore the city on foot due to the buses not running because of the public holiday. We saw a lot and walked about 50 km on foot (yeeeah). So that the text doesn't get too long xD ..... long story short: We're staying at the hostel until Wednesday, 06.05., found a great car and we're doing well :-). See you soon
