Chop wood again in the morning. After about 10 cubic meters, we have lunch. Pati cooked pumpkin stew. Me gusta, although it's not particularly calorie-rich. After four plates, I'm reasonably full. After the arrival of the 3 PM guests, we go swimming in the lake and head towards the waterfall. From behind, a boat full of tourists with their smartphones ready zooms in. They yell something incomprehensible to us in Spanish and wave. The water right at the base of the waterfall is freezing cold; after all, it comes from the snow-covered mountains.
In the evening, Pati, Porter, Lars, and I gather or pick blackberries and apples that are scattered around the Refugio Notros and the campsite (by the way, also invasive species, but more welcome than the otter). Before dinner, I sit on the terrace and sand a tree slice with sandpaper. It will become a new cutting board. A guest named Omar comes by and gives us mushrooms and onions, which we add directly to the scrambled eggs. He also gives me his number so I can call him when I'm in Santiago, where he works as a park ranger.
After dinner, we play another round of Escobar.
