1 month goes by like nothing

Hello my friends,

It's the beginning of September and that means I still have 2 weeks here that I want to enjoy as much as possible.

This week has been very relaxing...

In between work, I found time for a movie night where we watched Aladdin.

I actually liked it, but I'm a fan of Will Smith so it wasn't hard to enjoy☺️

In the following days, I caught a cold...

Well, I didn't think it would be that easy here, but since then I have also been sleeping with my upper body covered

Oh well, I guess I'll get a little more sleep, a man's cold doesn't heal on its own💁🏼‍♂️

On the day with the most rain, I booked a surfing lesson.

Yes, I know, surfing in the rain with a stuffy nose is not a great achievement, but you're only young once

After a few dry exercises, we went into the water and it was a lot of fun.

Waiting for the perfect wave, paddling, feeling the pressure, standing up and surfing.

Only for a few meters, but I've already caught a bit of the feeling of riding waves.

After our session, our surf instructor gave us a hot chocolate with a croissant and the day was already saved.

If I have time, I will definitely do it again.

To stay in bed while it's pouring rain and know that everyone else has to work, those are great feelings of happiness😂

In the evenings, we play card games that, funny enough, only change slightly depending on the nation, but they are basically the same games that everyone knows.

Yesterday, we started talking about horror stories and demon summoning, which I'm not really into😅

Ah, those Americans😂

On Saturday, we went back to Bread and Chocolate for some oatmeal cinnamon pancakes and iced chocolate🤤

After that, we went souvenir shopping again and in the afternoon, we went kayaking with some beers and explored the river.

Then, we ended up having dinner by candlelight because the power went out again.

I had the traditional dish rice & beans with plantains and chicken - always a good choice

For many, it was their last night out, so the evening started with some drinking games and then we went into town.

We met up with a friend I met in Puerto Viejo and he happened to have his special mix with him.

So it turned into a cheerful evening with a mixed party of various personalities.

Thankfully, we were able to go into the forest the next day and take a nap with the monkeys there.

And you can't run more than 5km in the Caribbean, honestly, you just can't stop sweating 😥

Currently, I'm heading to La Ceiba.

That's the release station where I will be working next week.

There's no reception there and I think I'll review everything again and enjoy the moments.

So in this sense, see you soon
