and head to Franz Josef Glacier. It's slowly becoming apparent that whenever we have travel days, the weather is nice. As if driving becomes more fun. Well, that's just how it is.
Our drive takes us along Highway 6.
The great thing is that there are many waterfalls and other sights on this route, all within a 15-minute walk. Just right for us. Stop, take a photo, and continue.
First stop, the "Blue Pools". Crowds of people going to and from the pool. After 15 minutes, we reach a suspension bridge that can only be accessed by a maximum of 10 people.
It was swinging. If you turn off your mind (thinking about what could happen), it's a lot of fun. And the next steps, on solid ground, still felt like they were swinging. Here's the poolNext stop, the "Fantil Falls", a 23-meter-high waterfall. An unspectacular 2-minute walk.
Before we leave the mountains for now, let's visit the "Thunder Creek Falls", 96 meters and a 5-minute walk.
