The arrival at the Flores family felt, although it's been here for a few years, anyway when I wasn't wearing it - in the best way. ❤️
The rooftops in Managua are loud, hot and strenuous. The road follows a canopy, and there are beautiful beaches around it. The Flores Family House is an oasis in this chaos. Jede Ecke is lovely laid out. But of course the family itself is the best. Although everyone has a very unlikely character, it is harmonized in the end anyway.
Other travelers always see me confused when I ask how long I was in Managua "What do you want in Managua?" Not obvious, to be honest, but that's exactly the right thing to do. Cook together, tan in the kitchen, watch movies, go out - oh, and quite a lot (I'll be gathered) and of course talk about God and the world. Simply enjoy the combination.
We have spent nights and silver here in the house too, with quite a lot of visiting, tons of laughter and playing music that comes out of boxes that are almost as great as I am. With Zirben- and Marillenschnapps, goulash and a Newjahrswalzer there was sometimes also a bit of oyster reach.
Thank you to this wonderful family who always make me feel welcome even though I am on the other end of the world.

The arrival of the Flores family, although five years have passed, somehow felt like I had never left, but in the best way. ❤️
Everyday life in Managua is noisy, hot and exhausting. The trails take an eternity and there is a dearth of beautiful corners. The Flores family home is an oasis in this chaos. Every nook is carefully decorated. The best, of course, is the family itself. Even though they all have very different personalities, in the end it somehow harmonizes.
Other travelers always look at me in surprise when I tell them how long I’ve been in Managua. "What are you doing in Managua?" Nothing exciting, to be honest, but it's exactly the right thing. Cooking together, dancing in the kitchen, watching movies, walking, oh, and eating a lot (they're making me fat) and, of course, talking about everything and nothing. Simply enjoy being together.
We also spent Christmas and New Years here at home, with lots of visiting, tons of food and loud music coming out of speakers almost as big as mine. With pine and apricot notes, goulash and a New Year’s waltz, there was also a bit of Austria this time.
Thank you to this wonderful family that always makes me feel like I belong, even when I am on the other side of the world.
