Welcome to Miami

Miami Vice, LeBron James and Miami Heat, South Beach, Star Island, palm trees, sunshine and Will Smith are just a few examples that come to mind when I think of Miami. The list is endless, and no matter what keyword is mentioned, the city delivers on all its promises. :) Miami is expensive, but I am convinced that you get a lot in return from the city. Maybe not necessarily material possessions, but definitely an incredible feeling of life.

After a long flight, we arrived early in Miami. Our accommodation for the next 8 days was the Freehand Miami Hostel, which had hotel standards and also had the Number One Bar in all of Miami. That's why it was packed every evening with women in skimpy dresses, men in shirts and shiny shoes, music and a great atmosphere. Thanks to my college friend, we were able to stay there for free for the first four nights and paid much less than the regular price for the last four nights. We also received drink vouchers for the bar. :)

We used Miami to soak up some more sun, whether it was on the beautiful beach, by the pool, or exploring the city. Miami exudes a sensational feeling of freedom, and we didn't want to miss out on that in the last days of our trip. We met other interesting people and went out to party with them. We even ended up in a gay club and were amazed at how open, direct, and touchy-feely the men there were. We managed to avoid any mishaps without any black eyes or other experiences. We also met another German college friend in Miami who has been living there for 2.5 years. He showed us around his area, and in the middle of the night, we ordered food from McDonald's at the drive-thru on bicycles, which caused laughter and funny comments. :)

I realized that Miami has changed a lot since my last visit. The city has received many new buildings, but the atmosphere and shopping opportunities have always been the same. That's why we rented a car and spent our last dollar at an outlet mall. After we had no more money left and there were a few arguments during our days in Miami, we realized that this is the end of our trip.

As I said, we relaxed for 8 days and enjoyed the last break. That's why this entry is kept relaxed and short without getting bored. Because boredom is a foreign word in Miami.

See ya soon, brothr.
