Nafplion - Salanti

Ku kandziyisiwile: 24.09.2019

Today we visited Nafplion, the former capital of Greece. Unfortunately, the weather didn't play along, it was raining constantly.

The beauties of the picturesque old town are significantly reduced due to the weather. On the 200m high rocky mountain lies the extensive fortress of Palamidi. 500m from the port is the small island of Bourtzi - a Venetian fort. You can feel the eventful history of the place when you walk around with open eyes. It would have been even more interesting and intense with nice weather ...

Now we are standing freely on a huge beach near Salanti, looking at the sea with the islands of Psili and Koiladia fading away in the haze and we are happy that the sun is shining again.
