Koh Phi Phi 07-09.02

Ku kandziyisiwile: 10.02.2017

Picked up by taxi at our hostel at 8:00 in the morning and taken to the ferry. After a good hour of driving, we arrived on the surprisingly tiny island of Koh Phi Phi.

The island is extremely touristy, with way too many people and way too many shops. However, our hostel room, for which we paid a bit more, was very nice and comfortable. We even had a balcony with a sea view.

The rest of the day we spent at Long Beach, one of the few beaches where you can swim during the day. At most of the other beaches, the water recedes so much during the day that it only reaches your waist.

The highlight of the day was a fire show in the evening, where we were called onto the stage and they waved their fire slingers in front of us. It got pretty hot and we got pretty panicked.

The second day was rather short as we slept until 13:00 and finally had breakfast at 15:30. After that, we stayed at the beach until the sun went down.

While looking for a restaurant for dinner, we actually found an Italian place with a real stone oven pizza. We were the happiest people in the world. It was the first pizza in what felt like forever and it was absolutely amazing!
