In Zagora we made a three-day stop and at the same time took a break in a camp. We settled in the beautiful hotel 'Riad Dar Sofian' and indulged ourselves with the dreamy breakfast and the water in the pool. Everything, from the laptop, cameras, electric toothbrush, to the iPad, is freshly charged with the electricity from the socket.
Of course, we can be found in the small town every day. We visit the market to buy fruits, vegetables, cinnamon, and black soap or just to marvel at the cow and goat heads lying on the ground a little bewildered. There is a lot going on in the small market: shopping for the upcoming Ramadan - bags with candies, couscous, and flour are being carried home.
But we also like to walk through the smaller back alleys to see what is being offered there; all the small workshops for repairs, furniture making, lamps, clothes... it's amazing what people can do with their hands here, craftsmanship everywhere! Or sitting in the cafe together with many locals, who greet us warmly and want to know where we come from and where we are going and how long we will stay. They are happy to hear that we want to stay in the country for such a long time.
We enjoy the many pictures passing by; women sitting in front of the mosque, the baker distributing bread by car, teenagers with the footballer haircut strolling through the streets, the bicycle parking lot, the motorbike for transport.
We also want to see a small part of the nearby surroundings, the huge palm grove, the kasbah, and the mountain.
