Island of Hvar

Ku kandziyisiwile: 17.05.2024

First of all, thanks to the weather gods, it can stay this way.
For all those who asked, no I don't weigh 140kg, that was the total weight, the bike weighs 40kg and the luggage also 40kg ;-)
And no, I don't ride an electric bike, the battery is me.
But now to today, after a cup of coffee we set off early. The ferry to Hvar runs every 2 hours, which was relaxing. My komoot friend picked out a really nice route for me, hardly any cars. Unfortunately I haven't found the setting for my age yet, he probably thinks I'm 35, at least that's what his route suggestions are.
Hvar is a beautiful, mountainous island, mainly olive trees, some of them very old. You can buy olive oil on every corner and the Croatian variety is very good.
The campsite I chose was beautifully located by the sea but the nearby ferry doesn't take bikes. So I drove another 12 km to Stari Grad, where there is no campsite, so I got a simple room. Nice place, I like it.
I'll stop now, have a nice Pentecost weekend, see you tomorrow...
