Eight weeks 'wägaliontour' - a short travel summary.
Goals: Get to know Eastern Central Europe (I've never been to the countries I visited before), discover and experience, read a lot, find peace (whatever that means), enjoy freedom, develop new visions, approach and make contact with unfamiliar people, enjoy the landscape and nature, and of course, the city of Athens.
Accomplished 🤙🏼: Leaving work behind and putting it behind me for the duration of the trip, not only getting to know new parts of Europe but also getting to know myself better, defining tiny visions for the future, and being proud, grateful, and joyful for all that I was able to experience.
Small challenges 😉: Leaky 'wägali' (and there was a lot of rain - screws had come loose in the strip and water was seeping in), non-functioning heating (luckily I had tape with me), various car/'wägali' breakdowns (which I will probably talk about for a long time), buying food without lactose and soy (hardly available the further south I drove - relatively difficult for someone who eats very little meat), getting sick and visiting doctors in a foreign language, finding young people at the campsites, staying in one place and doing nothing.
During my tour, I realized that it can be more relaxing to plan less and live more in the moment. Wanting to discover and experience all the time (because that's possible too) meant at the same time finding less peace for me. A lifelong task 😊 Fortunately, I still have a while to vacation and can spend half a day reading on the couch like yesterday.
I bid you farewell now. It was nice to have you on my journey! ♡
