Tag 40 - waiting

Today is the day of departure from Battambang. We have booked a bus that will take us to Sihanoukville, a city by the water; from there we want to go to the island of Koh Rong. So we spend the morning calmly packing our things and check out at 12:00, but leave our things in the lobby. We are supposed to be picked up at 10:45 p.m., so we still have some time to kill. We buy some snacks for the journey and shop for some clothes - for me two T-shirts, as my two white shirts are no longer wearable. For the rest of the day, we lie on the lounge chairs in the lobby, plan our trip a bit, and download some movies and series, knowing that the island has very poor internet connection.

Although we had more than six hours to prepare for our pick-up, we get completely hectic when the shuttle arrives, but we manage to make it on time and are then taken to the bus stop 200 meters away - seriously?

Arriving there, we handle our booking and then wait for our bus, which we later find out is a sleeper bus - very cozy.

So we make ourselves comfortable and stuff tissue into the openings because it's so damn cold in this thing and the ventilation slots are unfortunately broken. We are able to get a good amount of sleep by midnight.
