After two successful day trips, Mo and I decided to go on a slightly longer road trip. Through a friend of Manu's (a roommate from Mo's flatshare), we got a camper van really cheap. A Mitsubishi Express. Not the newest model and not the best equipment, but perfectly adequate for our needs...
One evening before we started our trip, there was a nice farewell dinner in Mo's flatshare.
And then we headed to Esperance in the southwest of Perth together with Lynn and Basti. A quite long and rather unspectacular drive of more than 700 km across the inland. However, halfway through the journey is the so-called Wave Rock. So, the perfect opportunity to combine a lunch break with a sightseeing attraction.
Esperance is known for its beautiful coastal landscape, which we were able to explore the next morning in bright sunshine.
However, the Twilight Beach can be highlighted especially. Crystal clear, turquoise shimmering water and a small rock near the coast that invites you to cliff diving, if you dare... which of course was not the case for me :D
The next day we continued to Cape Le Grande National Park. The good weather had unfortunately left us, but the temperature for our little hike to Frenchmans Peak (about 300 m ascent) was much more pleasant.
In the afternoon, we went to Lucky Bay for a short time. The most famous beach in Cape Le Grande NP, where you can see kangaroos on the beach...
However, what most tourists drive past is the slightly smaller Hellfire Bay. With a bit of luck, you can have this bay all to yourself and enjoy the sunset undisturbed.
