After a peaceful flight to Gothenburg, we pick up the rental car. Completely uncomplicated, exit the airport across the street, and in the large building you will find the various rental car providers. Very friendly staff, the rental car is already waiting in the back. With beautiful weather, we drive for about 1 hour through beautiful nature to our cottage in Vallda. A great accommodation on the outskirts of the village of Vallda. We go to bed early. After a hearty breakfast, today we drive to the west coast, to the town of Marstrand. Marstrand is a small town in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County. It is located about 30 km northwest of Gothenburg on the islands of Marstrandsö and Koö in the Kattegat. Marstrand is located in the municipality of Kungälv. On our way there, we visit the well-preserved Bohus Fortress in Kungälv. In the evening, we can see very weak northern lights, we could hardly believe it, but the next day we read in the media that they were visible in Germany as well. That's how our beautiful day ends.
