After I had actually planned to work on my term paper today, I suddenly felt the urge to go out. (I wonder why ^^) The plan was to walk to the supermarket from yesterday, as it looked really cool and I wanted to take some photos of it. Thought and done. The vegetation here is really beautiful, you can see impressions through the photos. So I am completely satisfied with the flora, only the fauna disappoints me (yet) a bit. The most exciting thing I have seen so far was a gecko. Otherwise, there are pigeons, sparrows, crows, and this morning I saw a swallow. And today a rooster. Which followed me. Sounds funny, but it wasn't really in that moment. If such an animal is chasing you on the open street, it's a bit weird. But yes, in hindsight it's also a bit funny ^^

All in all, I can definitely revise my first impression of the city! The plants in particular make the city really beautiful. But I know that today I was mainly in a very chic neighborhood and that there are completely different places here (I got a little glimpse on a market - food in houses that looked a bit run down, the smell wasn't overwhelming either. But if I had been hungry, I would have definitely gotten something anyway), but still I think the city is much prettier now. Which could also be because of the sun. (Although on the way back up the hill, the sun caused quite a sweat...) Nice weather, beautiful plants, (mostly) great, foreign smells. I definitely want more of that! ;) But tomorrow it starts at school, I'm super excited and looking forward to finally finding out exactly what I'll be doing for the next six months!
