After a few days without a post, I'm back to say something again.
I spent 3 days in Ubud, the cultural capital of Bali, and it was pretty cool there. On the first day, I visited some sights like the Ridge Walk and the Ubud Palace. Quite crowded with tourists but also nice to see.
The second day was pretty well planned, in the morning I went to a traditional Balinese street market, then spontaneously took a yoga class at the Yoga Barn (and if you think yoga is not exhausting, you definitely haven't tried it yourself 😂), then went to the Monkey Forest, and after that I visited 2 waterfalls. It's somehow scary how Instagram and Co. are changing our society, most tourists there are couples who pay the entrance fee to take 1 shared photo where they look like the happiest people in the world and then walk away with a gloomy face - but to each their own!
On the third day in Ubud, I took it a bit more relaxed and only visited the famous rice terraces and the production of the most expensive coffee in the world (if you want to know the details, it's made from the excrements of cat-like animals :D), but somehow I expected more from it and besides climbing 1000 steps, there wasn't much to do.
After hearing from many travelers that Canggu is very beautiful, I made my way there.
To be continued...
