Are you still planning or are you already traveling?

Yayınlanan: 19.11.2023

I'm still sitting on the couch at home and am only moderately annoyed by the not at all summery autumn weather that appeared this Sunday. It allows me to enjoy the seating and lying options in my apartment again without feeling guilty before the trip starts in two weeks. And I'll have better, i.e. warmer, weather anyway. When angels travel and stuff, you know what I mean! ;O)

Well, what can I say? Yes, the anticipation is growing day by day. It's pretty much everything I wanted to plan, planned. Waiting for Godot, so to speak. Consciously do things for the umpteenth time for the last time (something like vacuuming, washing, etc.) and gradually say goodbye to people that I definitely won't see for the next 6 months.

For some people this is anything but easy for me, believe me! It's not just a 3 week vacation, it's a time out. Half a year out of the rut, the hamster wheel that usually has such a tight grip on you. But that's exactly why I do it! Come out and adjust your perspective again. See something of the world, let things go, have fun, just live without working. It's kind of hard for me to imagine, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it will work out better than I think at the moment.

Even though I've been thinking about the trip for months, I still haven't realized that I'm actually doing this adventure! It's probably starting to sink in when, after a few weeks, I'm still not taking the plane to Frankfurt, but instead flying to the next highlight on the trip.

What am I most looking forward to?

Difficult question, I'm interested in all the stations, otherwise I wouldn't have put together the route as it can now be found on the right-hand side! Even though some sections are more planned than others, what I'm most looking forward to is just going with the flow. To enjoy the luxury of not having the entire week scheduled. Not having to constantly look at the clock. True to the motto "So don't worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will take care of its own." (yes, sorry, I didn't think to quote the Bible in the first entry either!). And of course I'm looking forward to meeting hopefully many exciting, lovable and funny people and unforgettable nature experiences.

Good keyword. I'm determined to share what I've experienced with you on a regular basis, but you shouldn't blame me for keeping it here so that I can still remember my adventure well after the fact.

If you enjoy it too, even better!

So, off to the last two weeks on European soil...
