Today it was really difficult for me to get out of bed. I'm super tired and my energy reserves are depleted.
However, I am currently in New York City, and it's my last day here, so I couldn't just stay in bed.
So I got up, had a hearty breakfast, and then went to the 9/11 Memorial. And quickly left... The memorial itself is really impressive, but seeing the names of the people who tragically lost their lives that day really weighed on me.
That's why I quickly made up for what I didn't do the day before: a visit to the American Museum of Natural History. It was much easier to navigate here compared to the MET, as the halls were much larger. Overall, I found the MET to be much more impressive. It's probably because I'm not really a fan of natural history museums.
Afterwards, I needed a break and headed back to the hotel near Central Park.
In the evening, hunger drove me back outside. I decided to go to an American restaurant just around the corner. And it turned out to be a real stroke of luck. Today's special on the menu was lobster! I didn't even bother looking at the burgers. It was delicious! And messy. Of course, a piece flew into my cleavage while cracking the shell... But since I was more hungry than concerned about it, there was still room for a super tasty cheesecake, although I surrendered before finishing it.
For the finale of my New York trip, I went back to Brooklyn to admire the skyline at night. I also had to pass by Times Square one last time.
