25.12.2019 1st Christmas Day at Castle Point

After the really nice few days in Wellington, today we drove on, about 170 km away to 'Castle Point', a lighthouse on the beach, where we can camp for free again :-). As soon as you get a bit away from the city, the island looks completely different again.

We had hoped to see a beautiful sunset but unfortunately it was very cloudy.

In the evening, someone made fireworks on the beach and since we were already in the van, we could watch it comfortably from the bed :-).
