Personal log entry from the houseboat Betty HH-VX 717: We write the year 2024, September 15, 1:00 PM.

When we finally arrive in Tarifa after circumnavigating the Iberian Peninsula, it's windy, very windy! The palm trees at the town entrance bend under the force of the Levante wind. Betty rocks quite a bit until we finally reach the shelter of the houses. Tarifa - The Capital of Wind - lives up to its name. We were last here 25 years ago, and that was just for a week. However, we remember very little of that vacation. But that's why we're here, to rediscover this place and the region around Tarifa!

But for now, it's time to hit the water. Lacking current local knowledge, we head for the first parking lot at the large bay west of Tarifa, which is limited in height, so that the
