Black Katze Gast Ranch

Today I have a day off and take the time I have here abundantly to write.

Since I have been here, no more guests have arrived, you can tell that the season is coming to an end. So what is my work then, you may ask? I am preparing everything for the winter break and doing a basic cleaning for all rooms until guests arrive again. Not exactly exciting for you, right? But I have a lot of time for myself and have the breathtaking nature right in front of me. Cleaning can be seen as meditation or whatever you want to call it. Many thoughts also go through your mind, which is good. I have forest air in my nose every day and very lovely, but few people around me.

If the weather is good on Saturday, I will go horseback riding and took a hike today.

Some impressions here!

Yesterday we went shopping and drove to the small town of Hinton. The city looks a thousand times better than Edmonton. Oh, and I found my first real and delicious cappuccino :)

Yesterday we also had really nice weather with lots of sunshine for the first time. It was only 8 or 9 degrees, but it felt like at least 15 degrees.

Tomorrow I also have my first telephone interview for the maybe next job. So keep your fingers crossed for me!
**UPDATE** for the interview:
I got the job for the winter. It starts for me in mid-November at Blue River 'Mike Wiegele Heliskiing', which is reachable from Jasper by train.
Then I'll be a kitchen assistant :)
Still not an exciting job, but I'm still looking forward to the new experience I'll have.

Oh, and a big THANK YOU to my dad, he gave me 100€ for my birthday to buy something nice. I've already used it :)
I always have these on my feet. They were 30 or 40 euros more expensive, but the investment was definitely worth it. Super comfortable!!!
