8. Tag - day 8 (for english scroll down)

So far the locations of the hotels where impeccable. Like this one – in the middle of everything. Just next to the Lobby is a cute coffeeshop which makes the start of the day much easier. Zoe had a tremendous urge to go to the beach, I however had a tremendous urge to go to the launderette. Out of the hotel, turn right after 200 meters is the beach. Out of the hotel, turn left after 200 meters is the launderette. As said: location top. I returned after 2 hours totally happy. Zoe returned too, not so happy but lobster-red… not saying anything! Here in Honolulu a friend of Zoe is studying English. Obviously Zoe had to meet her, but equally obviously I did not have to join that party 😊

I decided to do some sightseeing and took the bus to the Aloha tower where apparently there is a great view over Honolulu. Apparently is the right word, as it was closed until further notice… So I decided to rent a bike and bike the 2Km back to Waikiki. Bikes are real good means of transport when exploring new areas. The temperature is pretty perfect here in Hawaii. Not too hot, not too cold. So off come the socks, out the Birkenstock and the level of embarrassment is high. After a winter feet’s can look pretty sad.. So off to a pedicure – after all its holyday. Lovely Vietnamese ladies had to work very hard to get off all calluses. But they managed and the end result is smashing. Apparently the orange color makes me years younger the ladies said! Who would have thought?! 😊 Later I met up with Zoe again, had a Sunset drink and lovely dinner. Live is good. OK maybe not so much for Zoe – she is currently beathing in aftersun crème….
