It is like Dinner for one: same procedure as every year. Drive to the airport, hand over car, fly, pick up car, drive to the hotel. All works out really well. Angie had a perfect timing and called me during the waiting time at the airport. The time flew and I think I chewed her ear off 😊 sorry! Once arrived in the north of Maui we were confronted with a new situation. The hotel does not do a reception – apparently all is done digitally. Which theoretically would have been lovely if we would have received the digital part. So we arrived at the parking lot of the hotel and looked at the parking boy quite puzzled, and so did he. He fanned and fiddled so much around us a Japanese Geisha would not have kept up with it. The little bugger was unfortunately on top of everything terribly snotty, which drove one or the other of the two of us up the wall. Fortunately one of the two of us remained very calm and cleared the situation with the head office. Eventually all resolved, we got the room code via e-mail – all good. Margarita during sunset, a jucy filet mignon (we will be vegetarian tomorrow again) Mauiii we are ready 😊
