Horsens

Today we visited the city of Horsens. Just like Aarhus, we really liked the beautiful little town of Horsens 😊. Great buildings and a nice wide shopping street. We also wanted to have a hot chocolate and a piece of cake. We saw many small cafes in Horsens. In a cute cafe and bistro street, we quickly found our cafe. Daniela ordered a waffle with ice cream and fresh berries. I wanted a piece of apple cake! I even asked if there were raisins in the cake and the waitress said no! Our hot chocolate was okay, but honestly, the dry old waffle and the "raisin cake with a few apple pieces" was a disgrace. I wanted to make a big fuss, but we didn't want to ruin our relaxing vacation mood, so we just accepted it! Since the weather forecast in Denmark wasn't great for the next few days, we decided to drive to Germany. We quickly booked a hotel in Timmendorf Beach.

On our 3 1/2 hour drive to Timmendorf, Daniela had to listen to my ABBA playlist. My goodness, I was really good at remembering the lyrics today, but my backup girls weren't in the mood. Littlefoot was sleeping on Daniela's lap and Daniela only likes ABBA in moderation (not for 3 1/2 hours straight). But it didn't matter to me, I enjoyed the time until we reached our hotel. Our hotel is a golf & wellness resort, and when we checked in, I had to go back to the entrance to make sure we were in the right place. The audience seemed more like a retirement community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida :-). Daniela also said to me that we are drastically lowering the average age here. That was pretty funny. Hmmmmmm, but now I think I'm being punished for my bad thoughts. The Timmendorf witch gave me a backache :-(, so mean. But even with an ABC plaster on my back, we still managed to sneak to the beach :-) and enjoyed the great weather.
