11th February Top Hill Retreat - Christchurch

Heading along the Pacific coast towards Christchurch. The coast is also beautiful and no less wild than the West Coast. We have our lunch break in the small town of Kaikoura and eat large green mussels. Mmm, very delicious. The fact that Kaikoura was almost destroyed by the 2016 earthquake is no longer visible. A very nice little town with a black pebble beach. Interesting. On the way to Christchurch, wineries tempt with tastings and we stop by at this offer. Unfortunately, I have to do the tasting alone as Ralf has to drive the car to Christchurch. We also find something at the second winery. 😆 We reach Christchurch in the afternoon. The small city center is nicely designed around the river with many restaurants and bars.
