Since we didn't like it as much at the 'Blue Lagoon' bay yesterday as the name might suggest, today we're going to the bay (Secret Bay) on the other side of the city.

Even though it's only about 1 kilometer to the beach, we're exhausted when we arrive there. To our joy, the beach is much wider and there are fewer people on it.

We immediately plunge into the surf, which is quite intimidating at first. As good swimmers and with a lot of 'childhood wave' experience, we have no problems, even though we get shaken up a bit now and then. The 'reassuring' thing is that there is no current that could pull you out; so the worst thing that can happen is that you get washed up roughly on the beach.

While we stand on the beach drying off after our excursion into the waves, we spot a few red dots in the water. What we first suspect to be jellyfish or plastic turns out to be turtles upon closer inspection. Anything but shy around humans, the little buddies search for food in the reef not ten meters from the bathers and occasionally come up to the surface to breathe. We watch the reptiles with excitement and then return to the beach.

In the late afternoon, we return to our accommodation and relax there from relaxing. Since we haven't had a 'special' meal in a long time, we decide to go to a slightly more touristy restaurant for dinner. I have tuna steak with rice and Jonna has fish & chips - as an appetizer, we have spring rolls. Everything is incredibly delicious. We order pineapple and orange juice to drink. Even though we only pay about 10€ for everything, which is an absolute joke by European standards, we feel like we're indulging in culinary luxury tonight.

Completely satisfied, we return to the room and go to sleep.
