January 3rd: Today is another travel day. However, we made it out of bed early again to enjoy the dawn in the temple complex again. We ran into a dog who probably wanted to adopt us, because from then on she didn't leave our side of the bike and "spoke" to us, whining vehemently. She was repeatedly chased away by other homeless dogs, but always found her way back to us. That was very touching. However, we then took advantage of a moment of her absence to quickly drive out of the park, not that she would have followed us any further...

By the way, the photo with the ball on the tree shows a nutmeg fruit that grew on a tree here in our guesthouse.

We took a taxi back to Phitsanulok to the train station. We had planned a time buffer, but the train in Thailand is just as unpunctual as in Germany... So I was able to capture a few train station impressions. Remarkable is the little cat accompanied by a young couple - without a collar, leash or even a transport basket...

There were then 90 minutes of delay, which after 7 hours of travel had added up to over 2 hours, so that we reached Chiang Mai around 10 p.m. - with a pretty flat bottom.... However, the state-owned Thai railway company apologized for that All travelers will receive a warm meal at their seat including a bottle of water! Deutsche Bahn can take an example from this...

With the shared taxi to the hotel and to the horizontal... We are excited to see how Chiang Mai has changed after 11 years...
