Today we are taking it easy. After a long sleep and a hearty breakfast, we drove to the Barrage de Bimont reservoir. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed. Apparently, this is a popular destination for the French on weekends. After being led in circles by the two parking attendants, we finally found a spot under the trees thanks to the first attendant.
You can take many hikes around Lac de Bimont, but since we wanted to continue our journey today and also needed to do laundry, we only walked on the dam. It was already impressive on its own.
A couple of hours later, we rolled a few kilometers to the laundromat. Conveniently, there was a pastry shop and a small flea market nearby. So we passed the time eating cake and browsing through the flea market.
After folding and stowing all the socks, we drove a few more kilometers to an idyllic and once again free parking spot below a mountain village.
