With Lis and Joe, who had been working with us at the campsite for the past few days, we continued south towards Kalbarri National Park. Just like in Karijini NP, there were rugged landscapes and beautiful gorges to admire here. We were lucky with the weather again. Only the damn flies were bothering us! Somehow they are everywhere as soon as you move inland a bit! :-(
From Kalbarri, we continued to Pink Lake or one of the many pink lakes in Australia.
In Geraldton, we said goodbye to Lis and Joe and continued to the Pinnacles Desert. Surprisingly, you could drive through the moon-like landscape with sandstone pillars towering everywhere. The line of cars slowly made its way through the national park.
We were almost at our destination Perth now. Not only did the landscape become greener, but the temperatures also changed and it got colder.
Since we had some time before Sarah could start her new job on a farm, we decided to drive to the Margaret River wine region again.
