Hello girls and boys
This morning at 06:30 we flew out of bed to drive away extremely punctually at the train station in Peking.
The people here are not used to backpackers, so we once again received a lot of stupid looks. We look strange and still have a huge garbage bag on our backs (that's how our backpacks look like in the rain cover π€¦π½ββοΈπ€¦π½ββοΈπ€¦π½ββοΈ).
Well, the train stations here are completely out of this world, it feels like being in the future.
Thank God the numbers are the same here (otherwise we would really have a problem).
Then we drove 5.5 hours with the high-speed train to Xi'an. Absolutely amazing, we tell you. 303 km/h and you simply don't feel a thing.
Even our train windows were cleanedππΌββοΈπͺπ½ π§π½ββοΈ
Here in Xi'an, we got a taxi for an hour's ride, which costs only 54 Yuan, so about 5.5β¬ π€π½π€π½π very casual for two people.
Our taxi driver was a real speed demonππ
Our hostel still has disgusting showers, but the internet connection is good.
Yesterday we met some guys from Portugal on the wall (4 men around 50 years old), by some miracle they were also on the same train today and were standing next to us at the hostel againπ€¦π½ββοΈπ
Summary Peking:
- Communication by sign language
- still everyone is very helpful even if they and we don't understand a word
- Subway and train rides are easier than with us
- 3 full days in Peking are not enough to see everything
- we are an attraction πΈπΈπΈ (here they affectionately call us aliens πΎ)
- and somehow they use plastic for everything, but no garbage is lying around πππ€·π½ββοΈ
In this sense, βπ½βπ½βπ½ Here's to great days in Xi'an
