Finally vacation!

Nai-publish: 29.06.2018

"What, vacation? You have been on vacation the whole time!" I hear you say. But we actually distinguish between "travelling" and "vacation". And now it's time for vacation.

For Steffi, that means getting up early in the morning and running over to the beach to swim a few laps in the beautiful sea. She enjoys it very much, especially since she is the only one here and has the crystal-clear and pleasantly warm water all to herself. Well, she is not completely alone. Of the five other beach visitors, four were black, one was light, and all had horns. But the cows are friendly companions and are welcome to stay.

After a hearty breakfast, we spent most of the day by the pool. Then we went shopping briefly. We were back in time for the football match Germany - South Korea. We looked forward to watching our team confidently advance to the round of 16, while enjoying salami, cheese and wine. Well, it didn't quite work out that way.

The next morning, we asked ourselves, "Another day by the pool?" No, definitely not! Steffi went swimming in the sea again early in the morning, and when she came back refreshed and happy, we packed a few things and went on a short trip around the surrounding area on our motorcycle. In our boundless optimism, we even packed our bathing suits because we had read about river bathing spots that we would have liked to visit.

To get to the river bathing spots, we followed a 10 km long dead end road into the mountains. Mountains grew higher on the right and left, but unfortunately they were not the only things. The gray clouds also followed suit, and when we finally reached the top, it was impossible to talk about bathing weather. Nevertheless, we stayed there for some time and enjoyed the fresh, clean air, the silence, and the beautiful landscape before we set off again.

In the next half hour, the gray clouds unfortunately turned black. It started to drizzle, then light rain followed, and finally heavy continuous rain. In favor of our bathing suits, we had decided not to wear our rain suits, so we got completely soaked through our motorcycle gear. Unfortunately, we had already gone so far from Galeria, our location, that it took us a whole hour to get back. But we took it with humor and at least enjoyed the hot shower back at the hotel.

In the evening, we had a nice dinner and strolled through our beautiful town for a while.
