On this day, we slept quite long (or simply got up late), so it was already 1 pm when we left the house. However, I must mention in our defense that we tried unsuccessfully to get our money back for yesterday's tickets and to book a tour in Scotland.
So it happened that we skipped breakfast and went straight to lunch, just like Colin likes to do at home. Our "lunch" was an interesting idea from a local döner shop, which sold many new and interesting products instead of the classic döner, such as the döner burger or döner quesadilla. This shop and its products had little to do with the döners we know in Germany, but it was good enough for Colin and me to have our dinner there as well.
We spent the rest of the day exploring York. We visited the largest cathedral in England, as well as the "shambles," a narrow alley that is said to have been the inspiration for the famous Diagon Alley.
Later, we expanded our knowledge at a Viking museum, where we learned a lot about the Vikings who once lived in York. But this outing was not only educational, but also fun.
After the museum, we wandered around York a bit and relaxed in a park.
And today, Colin was in a good mood again, as evidenced by the fact that he was almost constantly beatboxing.
