Bye Bye Party & Start of our journey

Once again, thank you so much to our families who enriched the Bye Bye Party. We really enjoyed our crowded living room and yes - there were a few tears shed. The tears on Monday morning are not included yet. Thank you all for your good wishes, your 'souvenirs, messages, cards....

On Monday, we started off well. We made it through the Gotthard Tunnel without any traffic jams. We had our first obstacles at the customs in Chiasso. But that was no big deal. On Monday, we first headed to Fabbrico. Reto wanted to visit the tractor manufacturing site of Landini/MC Cormick. The first stop was then in Albinea. On a small lavender farm. Beautiful view, dear hosts. It was perfect for our start. On Tuesday, which was 04.04.2023, we stayed at the organic winery 'Podere Casina'. By chance, we were welcomed by a Swiss woman who emigrated in 1987. And everyone who knows us - of course we participated in a wine tasting :-) This was spontaneously organized by Andrea - her son. Highly recommended. We also met Surseer (Greetings to Ella & Jimmy...).

On 05.04.2023, we visited the island of Porto Ercole. With very adventurous roads - Heidi didn't always have much fun with it....

Today we are staying at an agricamping site in Pescia Romana again. You can clearly see that the season has not yet begun and that we are in Italy (the sanitary facilities were still in winter mode....).
