Finally, the week is over and the weekend is here. ๐ Just in time for the weekend, I now have a job. I spent all Tuesday and Wednesday diligently distributing my resume around the city. Here in Darwin, employers only want a single page with information about address, phone number, previous jobs, and hobbies. The annoying part is that everyone takes the resume and says they'll contact me if they need someone - which never happens. It's really frustrating!
But the effort paid off! I now work as a caregiver for a former professional football player (Ross), who is now wheelchair-bound and needs constant care due to a sports accident. So from now on, I'll be working 7 days a week. My responsibilities include washing, dressing, and entertaining Ross....
I never imagined myself working in caregiving. But after the interview, I found Ross so likable that I really wanted the job. Now I'm happy to have this new experience. I'm learning a lot about caring for physically disabled people, first aid, etc. I guess I do have a social and caring side after all. ๐ค
