A lot of water on the Argentinean side

Nai-publish: 01.02.2020

The drive to the Argentinean side of the falls, we preferred to do as an organized tour due to the lengthy border procedures. The knowledgeable guides maneuvered us through everywhere and we were quickly waved through. We also didn't have to wait in line for 1.5 hours at the entrance, like the day before. Everything was well organized, a train to different stations was included in the entrance fee. We were able to walk along beautiful paths and stable bridges to admire the views of the gigantic falls. Even though we weren't alone in the park, there was hardly any crowding. In the end, we were even more impressed by the views of the waterfalls from this side than the day before. Here, we were even closer to the roaring water and got properly wet😝. Small coati-like creatures accompanied us every step of the way. They look cute, but they are not harmless with their sharp claws and teeth. That's why there were large cages at the snack stations - for the chewing tourists😂. We felt sorry for the lethargic members of the Guarani Indians who were playing music at the park's exit. They couldn't escape the grasp of 'civilization' and now live a folklore existence detached from their ancient traditions.
