We are ready: we have had the ticket for the time slot from 6 to 12 o'clock today for months, the rain capes are ready, we take the bus for the last meters up to the entrance of the Inca city in a 20-minute steep uphill drive. The weather forecast predicts more rain than dry periods, but our host is confident that it will clear up by noon. Our bus disappears into the fog and our 3 1/2 hour hike begins without a real view of the ruins, only the very closest walls are visible. Nevertheless, the eerie gray and the misty clouds fit this mystical place and at least it's not raining🤗.
