At exactly 8 o'clock this morning, we were lined up with our camper at the mountain gate to the Meadows in the Sky Parkway (a road to Mount Revelstoke - about 50 km and 1,435 elevation meters) to snag one of the popular RV parking spots. We were lucky and arrived early enough.
After a quick breakfast in the parking lot, we set off on our hike to Miller Lake, about 12 km, 405 elevation meters.
A great nature trail that went up and down and through forests and fields of rubble. In the end, we were rewarded with a beautiful lake that probably once formed from a glacier.
We settled on the rocks for our picnic and enjoyed the view. We could cool and relax our feet in the icy cold water of the lake :-) We hadn't packed any swimwear, but the lake wasn't exactly for the faint of heart.
Once again, there was no bear encounter.
