Über Pullad nach Kochi - finally cake again

Nai-publish: 17.01.2023

After the Backwaters we went on a detour to the very lovely parents of a colleague in Pullad.

Here we had a lot of authentic cuisine and great advice when buying saris.

Afterwards, off to Kochi.

Here in the city on Mahatma Gandhi Road (how could it be named anything else), there are hundreds of shops with clothes and fabrics in the brightest colors. Somebody has demonstrated a lot of style and even founded a kiwi clothing shop.

With a small ferry you reach Fort Kochi. This part is still characterized by colonial times and the densely populated world religions. So you can hear the muezzin in the background while strolling through the Jewish quarter on the way to the Hindu temple.

An impressive balancing act between cultures with repeated western influences, which show themselves in their best form in a few cafés with excellent desserts (rather a rarity so far). So there was also cake for the people in the group.

After an exciting visit to the train station with the intention of making a train reservation, two things must be noted: first, you can only understand the form of queuing and communication as a local, and second, Indians love to travel by train and these are booked well in advance. At least in the compartments that foreigners dare to book.

Accordingly, we spontaneously and slightly earlier than planned continue by plane to Goa. It remains exciting!
