Amusement park Carowinds, North Carolina

Nai-publish: 03.10.2016

Today, my two roommates and two other school interns and I went to the amusement park 'Carowinds', which is about 20 minutes away from our house. Of course, there were security checks at the entrance. After that, we went on the tallest and biggest roller coaster in the amusement park, so after that, we knew it couldn't get worse :D Wrong thought! It was simply amazing. We rode almost all roller coasters, except for the kiddie ones, of course. The great thing was that it was NOT crowded. We hardly had to wait at all and could always ride immediately :) Also, the weather was great. The sun was shining all day long and when we drove back at 5:30 pm, our car showed an outside temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. Everything was simply perfect! But I have to say, I'm pretty tired after all the walking and roller coaster rides. My highlight was a roller coaster where you lied down, as if going to bed. And then this roller coaster just went backwards the whole time!! It was an insane adrenaline rush. What I didn't like so much was the roller coaster where you had to stand. My body somehow couldn't handle the change and my feet felt really weird after that roller coaster. Oh, and then there were 2 water roller coasters. With the first one, we already thought we got pretty wet, but then came the second one. And we were completely soaked from head to toe. Our hair was almost like after taking a shower. But the cooling off was really nice, because it was relatively warm. Now, there are a few pictures coming up.

Oh, and this 'Carowinds' is located right on the border between South Carolina and North Carolina.
