Travel to San José - 4/16/22

Nai-publish: 17.04.2022

It starts punctually at 9:30. The taxi pulls up and takes us to the airport. I can't calm down for an hour - with joy about how great it is to have a city airport, and with a child and all the luggage (Has it been mentioned that the luggage turned out to be bigger than planned? *cough*) to arrive at the airport only 1.30 hours before departure. Frank looks at me as if I'm flying for the first time. But when I'm happy, I'm excessively happy as you know. 😂

Anyway, everything is going according to plan, in Frankfurt we have a short run. While running, I grab the chocolate bunny from a 'flower advertising man', which Sebastian then opens and eats while Frank urges us to hurry (we're running - we're just eating while doing it) and we arrive at the gate just in time, a little sweaty.

The 12-hour flight to San José goes without any exciting incidents in a positive sense. Of course, there are no fries in the children's menu and it is pushed aside with the words 'I'm not eating that'. Good thing we have so many snacks with us ;)

Gerardo, who picks us up at SJO airport, pushes the luggage AND the child. Perfect.

After a quick local beer (Pilsen - highly recommended) and fries, we go to bed exhausted. The whole trip took about 18 hours and Sebastian did well.

The next morning (4/17) we have breakfast and briefly explore the hotel. And then we will be picked up and shuttled to the Caribbean coast.☺️
