We slept really well on our first night in the camper. We only woke up because it suddenly got too cold - it was only 9 degrees outside. So we turned on the heater and made some coffee 🍵 After that, we took a warm shower for 1€, slowly packed up, and hit the road because we had 300km ahead of us. So we headed towards Pemberton and Lillooet. On the way, we made a stop at Lower Joffrey Lake and had a sandwich for breakfast. It was very mountainous and alpine until Lillooet, and we enjoyed the view with every turn. From Lillooet, it looked more like a steppe, and the temperature had also risen. We stopped in Cache Creek for lunch at Bear's Claw Lodge, where we had delicious sandwiches. Then, we had the last 90km to Kamloops, where we originally wanted to stay at Sunshine Village CG, but it didn't exist anymore as there were only fixed mobile homes and no reception 😐 So we had to change our plans and drive another 25km. We found Hitch'n Rail CG, which is located very idyllically on Heffley Lake - a paradise for nature lovers and anglers 🐟 We explored the area a bit more and made a noodle stir-fry. That was it for the second day of the tour.
Distance traveled: 363km
Conclusion: fascinating how the landscape changes
