Our day started relatively late for our standards, namely shortly after 8. After getting ready quickly, we enjoyed the breakfast included in our accommodation.
Then we were picked up by our tuk-tuk driver. After a short drive, he had a flat tire. However, his friend picked us up just 5 minutes later, so we could start our tour. We visited many different temples. But now it's too tiring for me to search for each one by name 😅 but we definitely had a good improvement (and also some good inclines) and finally visited Angkor Wat.
The whole tour was exhausting and we had quite long headaches today. We suspect that the climate here is different and we need to get used to it. Maybe it's also because of the lack of sleep in the past few days 😅
In between, we had a small snack for lunch.
After eating and having a few coffees and lots of water, we started feeling better.
In between the temples, we saw a beautiful lizard that unfortunately was dead, and we also saw soooo many monkeys that we were able to get really close to. We were still a bit afraid of the larger ones because we saw them screaming at people and running towards them. That's why we kept a safe distance and just observed them.
After our tour, we had dinner at a restaurant. I had Amok today. It was really delicious, a bit sweet because of the coconut milk but really good.
After dinner, we went to shower and then treated ourselves to a massage. Today we had a Khmer massage, which is a bit gentler than a Thai massage but still hard enough with good stretches and adjustments. We especially liked the outfit.
Originally, we wanted to have our legs waxed, but our leg hair was "too small, too small!" There was a lot of laughter, and they showed us what really long leg hair is 😅 so we treated ourselves to a foot massage instead. And now we're deeply relaxed in bed, looking forward to being able to sleep a bit longer tomorrow and to start the day without a plan 😊
