Pambansang parke ng Cahuita

Nai-publish: 07.02.2017

Yesterday, despite the rain, we made our way to the national park in Cahuita by bus, which took about half an hour. The trail in the park runs directly along the beach, but still through the rainforest, which is really beautiful. We saw more animals than we expected - it's a bit creepy to know that they are not all behind glass.. Especially when you're told that you'll be dead within four hours if the little cute yellow snake in the tree bites you ':D

In addition, there are really many really big and really disgusting spiders hanging right at the edge of the trail in the bushes... But we also saw curious monkeys, sleeping sloths, cute squirrels, blue crabs, colorful salamanders, huge butterflies and beautiful birds :) around noon the sun finally came out and you are allowed to swim in the park - the beach is beautiful! We couldn't stand the heat in the forest anymore, so it was time to go to the sea :) the waves were really high and while max couldn't stop throwing himself into them, I lay down in the sun and enjoyed the view.

So we went into the park with rain jackets and out again with bikini and swimming trunks - that's how it should be! ;)

In the hostel, we ended the evening comfortably with nice people and then went to bed for the first time after nine o'clock! I was really proud of us! But still, this morning I woke up at half past six.....

Best regards to everyone reading this :)
