Bush walk, beach and boating

Çap edildi: 29.11.2017

This morning we realized that we have been in Sydney for a month now. It feels much longer to us because we have already experienced so much.

Occasionally, I am asked what I actually do all day here. First of all, you also have to clean the house, do the laundry, and go shopping here. But last week, I also went on a bush walk with two other mothers from the school. That was really interesting. First, we went to the Guringai Land Aboriginal Engravin Site. There, the Aboriginal people 'drew' pictures on the rocks.

Then we continued on the Red Hands Track. We passed the Red Hands Cave where you can see red handprints from the Aboriginal people.

At the end of the track, we were rewarded with a absolutely stunning view at Westhead Lookout.

After a short consideration, we decided to try the Resolut Track. This led us to a wonderful little bay with a beautiful beach. The descent was quite easy, but the ascent was more difficult as you have to climb about 200 meters in altitude. But it was worth it.
The pictures say it all.

We haven't dared to go on such a track with Nils yet, but I think we will definitely do it sometime. He enjoys spending time with his friends. Last week, I finally figured out how to activate the sprinkler system. The kids immediately used it to cool off.

On the weekend, we went to Newport Beach and enjoyed the waves and the sun.

And on Sunday, we ended the weekend with a boat ride and a proper Aussie BBQ.
We rented the boat at Cottage Point and drove around a bit. We also met some beautiful sea creatures again. Boating is so much fun and even the junior got to steer for a while.

There is so much to discover and we already have many other plans. Let's see how many of them we can realize. Christmas is not even thinkable here with these temperatures. There are Christmas concerts, Christmas decorations, photos with Santa, advent calendars, etc. but somehow we don't get into the Christmas mood.
Yesterday, I saw a big lizard in our garden. Unfortunately, it disappeared too quickly, but maybe I will manage to take a photo of it sometime.
