Costa Rica

Çap edildi: 12.02.2020

The booked hotel in San Jose was not only closed but had been up for sale for several months. Discovering this with two tired children at 3 o'clock in the morning was not quite the perfect start in Costa Rica.
Sloths, capuchin monkeys, monkeys, colorful birds of various kinds, multicolored frogs, volcanic landscapes, rainforest in La Fortuna, northwest of San Jose.
Strawberry frogs, a boa, again colorful birds, different kinds of monkeys, caimans on the sandbanks on the black beach in Tortuguero National Park, east of the capital on the Caribbean coast.
White beaches, a raccoon, toucans, mosquitoes, active sloths including offspring in the tree in front of the reggae bar in Cahuita, south of Limőn on the border with Panama.
We stayed at Brigitte's ranch and had a rich wildlife in the garden, for which we had to pay a lot of money elsewhere. The toucan even flew into her small restaurant and the sloth doesn't move anymore from the tree next to it - why would it?
After the first attempts on the surfboard in Australia had to be canceled due to strong winds and the prices for it were exorbitantly high in Hawaii, we were finally able to float over the water in Costa Rica for the first time. In order to concentrate on this, we sent the boys with two young volunteers on horses over the beach.
Costa Rica is easy to travel, the people are friendly and lively, and nature is breathtakingly beautiful.
On this part of the journey, it is not so much the stories but rather the wildlife that impresses.
After 3 months away from home, we are looking forward to seeing you, even though we will continue with the campervan in Europe from March 19th.
